One of the highest honors an American composer can receive is the Rome Prize, affording the winner a year-long residency at the American Academy in Rome. The award has been bestowed upon luminaries from Samuel Barber to Elliott Carter. This program focuses on music written by three recent winners: Lisa Bielawa, Sebastian Currier and Pierre Jalbert.
